The First Burn
Wax has a memory. For your first candle burn allow the entire top to melt and form a wax pool to the edge of the candle before extinguishing (not just a pool in the centre). If the first burn doesn't reach the sides, the wax 'memory' will mean that the candle keeps burning in the centre and tunnels down, leaving plenty of precious wax around the edges wasted.
The Next Burns...
Now that you've had a successful first burn you're good to go!
For the longest burn time try sticking to 2-4 hour burns at a time - and also just enjoy.
Trimming the wood wick to under 1/4 inch before each use will also give you the best burn (and prolong that sweet crackle).

If you really want to enjoy some fragrance with your HomesyCo candle, you can wait until you've burned your candle so that there's a pool of melted wax and then add 3-4 drops of your favourite essential oil. There's no guarantee as to how much scent will arise as the right temperature means a good scent 'throw' (a candle making term), and too hot or cold means weak scent throw. It's worth a try if you're wanting that experience, and the best part is, the HomesyCo candle isn't limited to one scent or another. You can have a different experience with each burn.
